Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet - Quick Look
So I recently bought Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet and so far its pretty good. Highly resembles Michael Gagné's earlier work "Insanely Twisted Shadow Puppets", but then I guess thats the point!
Cool little metroidvania style game, with easy to use controls and some interesting enemy/boss designs. Only problems I can find with it, is that its a bit short (especially for a full 1200 point arcade game) and the map is annoying as hell. To bring it up you have to hit back, but then hitting back again doesn't get rid of it, it brings up the menu. You have to hit "B" on the map to close it; so many times I've been hitting back twice to quick check it and its bringing the menu up.
Anyways, I would definately recommend to anyone looking for something to occupy them throughout this summer games drought. As well as this, From Dust came out about a week ago and is another great arcade title. Check 'em both out and feel free to comment on what you did and didn't like about them.
