It's alive!

The website is now up. It doesn't have a whole lot on at the minute but it does have some lovely links to my game projects I was previously hosting on rapidshare. At least this time they won't expire after 60 days!

Anyways, come check it out anyways to see my pixel art I added:  linky link

Website coming soon!

Ok so I've got a domain name now and I've got webspace rented for the next 14 months, now all thats left is to actually make the website. Should be fun learning html and anything else I need (maybe a summer project). Anyways the domain is sdoolan.co.uk, although at the minute there's nothing up.

Hopefully will have a placeholder, or at least some functionality up by the end of June. So here's hoping that it's not too much of a problem to get up.

Updated dance vid.

Updated the video so its a fair bit longer now (animation just loops really), and put some fitting music on it. Its somehow mesmerising and yet very disturbing at the same time. Either way, enjoy.

Playing with facegen modeller, hilarity ensues.

Who'd have thought playing around with some 3D face generating software could yield such horrifying results.

Oh god what is that? (It's me! Oh the shame....)

Video of the animation

Ok, I rendered a video of the crazy dance i made.

3D Modelling Project

Ok here's the second project I've been working on recently. For my university coursework, I was required to create a virtual representation of a local area accurately. As group leader I chose to model the seating area on the second floor of a computing building inside the university campus. For this coursework I worked in a group with three other people and togethor we made and textured all the models from scratch and them imported them into an unreal tournament 3 map. Below is a screenshot of the completed map...

"HEY LOOK AN UPDATE!" - So here's a video walk around made by one of the other group members, shows all our work though. linklink

Also for this project I had to personally create a character model of myself. I'll put a photo of it up but bear it mind it looks pretty funny. I gotta say my people modelling skills are not great, still I'll leave it up to everyones judgement...
(Looks ridiculous right?)

Suddenly, zombies!

Haven't had any posts for a while due to the insane amount of coursework that had to be in. Still, some good came of it. The XNA game "Suddenly, Zombies" was created with a team of 6 people including myself. Its a side-scrolling beat em' up game where you kill all manner of creatures from hell. Well.... currently only vampires and zombies, but hopefully there's room for future development. Anyways, here some pics of the game, can't post any links up because I only developed part of the game.

My part of this project was to create the 3D model backgrounds, camera work, continue indicator, bug testing and lighting work. I also created a large amount of the sounds (Although I used a premade tool for this so cannot really take much credit.)
